Abstract: The article reports on the release of data by the agency Empire State Development Corp. of New York regarding the estimates of the economic impact of the controversial Atlantic Yards project in Brooklyn, New York City. The project would include housing, office and retail space, and an arena for the basketball team New Jersey Nets. It has been asserted that the project would generate $1.4 billion worth of tax revenues.
