Tuberculosis: nurses’ work continues.

The author presents an introduction to a series of articles on tuberculosis and a discussion on the advances in the treatment of tuberculosis. The articles include an ethnographic study involving patients undergoing treatment for multidrug resistant tuberculosis and an article on the training programme for nurse trainers in South Africa.
