UCU: We failed our members.

This article reports on a statement issued by Sally Hunt, general secretary of the University and College Union (UCU), in an internal paper of the UCU saying that hundreds of lecturers who participated in a marking boycott in 2005 suffered significant pay deductions of up to 40 percent without the kind of support members expect from the union. The paper also said some lecturers were advised by the union to take legal test to try to recover their docked pay, as outriders for hundreds of their colleagues.
