Abstract
- The author reports that, with book sales sagging, book publishers are selling books in other outlets, including clothing stores, butcher shops, car washes and cookware stores. The phenomenon began with small number of books in kitchen shops and hardware stores, but has become a growing facet of many publishers' retail strategy.
