Abstract
- The article discusses diplomatic difficulties of 'active neutrality', presenting a case study of chrome exports from Turkey to both Allied and Axis powers during the Second World War. The article also highlights competitive diplomatic activity between Britain, the United States and Germany regarding chrome exports. An overview of the chrome agreements between different nations, and the Turkish-American relationships after the emergence of 'New World Order' is offered.
