Abstract

The article discusses the role of philosophy in teaching physical education in the schools of the United States. The role of philosophy in physical education is important to make the physical education teachers understand the critical role they play in helping the American youths develop positive movement habits. Philosophy also helps in understanding the need, worth, value and magnitude for physical education. Due to these reasons the teachers should pass a mandatory course on a philosophical perspective of the importance of physical education in every life.
