The article focuses on the efforts by Boeing Co. and European Aeronautic Defence and Space Co. (EADS) to penetrate the Indian aerospace and defense market. EADS plans to establish a large technology center in India as part of a move to turn India into a major source of engineering, information technology and production. At the same time, Boeing committed $100 million to a regional maintenance, repair and overhaul facility in Nagpur in the central Indian state of Maharashtra.
