Abstract
- The article focuses on the 250th Birthday Festival in Detroit, Michigan in 1950. Among the events presented during the year include a series of concerts by the Detroit Symphony, two Folk Festivals coordinated by Detroit's International Institute, art exhibits at the Detroit Institute of Arts, aquatic events on the Detroit River and the Pageant Parade with floats that depict the history of Detroit both visually and orally.
