Abstract
- The article explores the research findings on the synthesis and the application of iodinated derivatives involved in telomerization, iodine transfer polymerization, and reverse iodine transfer polymerization. The Daikin Co. pioneered in the late 1970s the use of perfluoroalkyl iodides or diiodoperfluoroalkane as chain transfer agents in the controlled radical polymerization of fluorinated monomers.
