Abstract: The article takes a look at similarities between magic shows by performers Eric Walton in his show "Esoterica" and fellow magician Ricky Jay's 2002 show "On the Stem." Both shows overlap with many of the same themes such as using sizable words and using similar card tricks. The Knight's Tour, where one traces a knight's path on a chess board, has also been included in both shows. Walton has since been accused of borderline plagiarism. Ownership of magic tricks is a heated debate among magicians.
