Abstract
- Information about several papers discussed at a conference on the need for the development of agricultural and rural areas in China, which was conducted in Beijing on December 2005 is presented. The economy in the country can be developed in the right direction if problems relating to agriculture, rural areas and the farmers have been solved properly. The conference was attended by Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao and Vice-Premier Huang Ju. INSET: OVERPOPULATION: A MAIN CAUSE OF RURAL POVERTY.
