Abstract
- The author presents the author's views on the hopes and spirits of New York baseball fans, in light of the forthcoming conclusion to the 2006 Major League Baseball (MLB) season. Details related to the recent performance of the New York Mets and the New York Yankees are reviewed. According to the author, starting pitcher Pedro Martinez has given Mets fans something to worry about, while recently rehabilitated Yankees Hideki Matsui has given Yankees fans a boost of confidence.
