Abstract
- The article profiles Edward I. Solomon, a chemistry professor at Stanford University in Palo Alto, California. In his junior year of high school, Solomon became involved in a program which allowed exceptional students to work with university professors all over the U.S. He has studied metalloenzymes for over thirty years, using theoretical calculations and spectroscopy to visualize the mechanics of such enzymes. Solomon was elected to the organization National Academy of Sciences in 2005.
