Abstract
- Investigates whether the abnormal sarcoplasmic reticulum (SR) calcium (SERCA)-ATPase activity in failing human myocardium may be due to a reduced level of phosphorylation of phospholamban. Levels of phospholamban and SERCA in failing and nonfailing SR membranes; Stimulation of SR calcium-ATPase activity by cyclic adenosine monophosphate (cAMP); Backphosphorylation of phospholamban.
