Abstract: The article offers news briefs on livestock in Great Britain. British Health & Safety officials have collaborated with farming leaders to raise greater risk awareness among livestock producers about injuries sustained from livestock. There is a possibility that producers are losing the equivalent £21 per hectare of nitrogen in the form of ammonia and nitrous oxide in the application of slurry to grassland in summer using splash plate-type spreaders.
