Abstract
- The author relates his problems in securing a green card. He was first employed in a consulting firm Acme Technologies and he was put to work as a project manager for an ERP implementation in Princeton, New Jersey. The company has promised him to take care of the processing of his green card application. Unfortunately, at the third day of his work, he was to demoted to consultant without any explanation. When he left Acme, he landed a job from the company's competitor and they promised that they will handle all the arrangements needed to procure his green card. After a year, he confronted the company about the green card and he found out that they had not filed the application because it was too expensive.
