Abstract
- The article focuses on the antipornography arguments of Catharine MacKinnon. She emphasizes that seeing and responding to a pornographic film enacts sexualized violence, specifically against women. For MacKinnon, pornography is an imaginative system that comprises the production of pornographic texts. She further calls for legal protection on the actors in these films because of the use of their body in the production of the pornographic image. The author, commenting on the arguments of MacKinnon, tries to analyze the logic of the antipornography arguments.
