Abstract
- The article presents an argument against deflationary ethical theories such as nihilism and relativistic theories. Deflationary ethical theories refer to those views that appear to undermine the importance of ethical questions. The ethical theories that are worthy of acceptance are discussed, as well as those ethical theories that should be rejected. A discussion of fanaticism in the context of ethical philosophy is presented.
