Abstract: This article discusses emerging-market indicators as of August 12, 2006. The growth of China's surplus trade is discussed. Indonesia's central bank cut its key interest rate by half a percentage point after two other quarter-point trims. The economy and financial markets around the world are discussed, which are categorized by interest rates, stock markets, industrial production, consumer prices and currency units.
