Abstract

The article discusses the application of biomimetics to flat-panel displays and Moving Picture Experts Group to provide vivid visual information developed by Clairvoyante Inc. in the U.S. For several years, researchers had come up with compression techniques to minimize the waste of blue subpixels produced in the television tubes. The company created a pattern of subpixels called the PenTile Matrix which resize the subpixels to have information with higher resolution. Moreover, they add a white subpixel so that color filters absorbed wavelengths from the backlight to exhaust energy from a display.
