Abstract

The article focuses on the benefits of a Web-based employee help-desk system from Citrix Online to commercial real estate firm Ryan Cos. Forty-five percent of the firm's staff works from remote construction sites and stores project schedules on their laptops. The system connects computers and enables help desk personnel to share a computer screen, mouse and keyboard controls. The company reduced help-desk calls by 90 percent and lowered shipping costs from returned laptops following the implementation of the system.
