Abstract
- The article presents information related to Evergreen Air Center's desert facility in Tucson, Arizona. The dismantling of aging aircraft is the main occupation at this facility. According to Evergreen's Marketing Director Paul Worthington, seventy-five percent of the work done by the company is heavy maintenance on all Boeing equipment including 757s, 767s and 747s. According to Evergreen President Taylor James Toomey, the industry needs some standards. A 10-member trade group in the U.S. and Europe, the Aircraft Fleet Recycling Association, was established with the help of both, General Manager Martin Fraissignes of the Chateauroux Air Center in central France and Taylor James Toomey.
