Abstract
- The article focuses on the benefits of recreational activities as a factor in planning for the growth and well-being of the physically handicapped or cerebral-palsied children in the U.S. The play activities of recreation can satisfy the exceptional needs of the physically handicapped children. Furthermore, the actual participation of cerebral-palsied children in recreational activities will generate their growth and development of personality. Moreover, several recreational programs are presented including finger plays, chalk talks, reach and grasp games, bodily movement games, and speech production games.
