Abstract
- The article presents news briefs related to the decisions of the several courts in the United States. The U.S. Supreme Court has avoided a much-needed clarification of patent law by dismissing a patent claim on a test for Vitamin B deficiencies. The court also upheld the deportation of an illegal immigrant, who in the 1980s was sent back to Mexico but later returned undetected. The Supreme Court upheld a jury's award to a female forklift operator in Tennessee who said she was punished for accusing her employer of sexual harassment.
