Abstract

The article focuses on the development of infrared and accelerator technologies at the Institute of Synchrotron Radiation (ANKA) at the Karlsruhe Research Center in Karlsruhe, Germany. ANKA has investigated the far infrared coherent synchrotron edge radiation that operates at 1.3 gigaelectron volts beam energy. The breakthrough will support generating and observing highly intense stable coherent synchrotron edge radiation in the terahertz range, paving way for advancement in spectroscopy.
