Abstract
- The article discusses time management in infants. A baby lives in the immediacy of his experiences, and a predictable schedule is his foundation for understanding time. Consistent interactions, such as being fed when hungry, helps the baby in organizing himself. A multitude of nurturing moments help develop the natural body rhythms of the baby. Children gain a sense of order through repeated routines. The concept of "now" and "then" reinforces the development of short-term memory. The game Peekaboo helps babies develop a basic understanding of time, which is always changing, comparing it to the more permanent quality of people and things.
