The article looks into the efforts of Ozmotech in developing its ThermoFuel system wherein in produces diesel from recycled waste plastic in Australia. However, the Australian Taxation Office has demanded charging excise tax on the company for the waste products it used. The original ThermoFuel technology, called pyrolisis, was developed by a Japanese inventor. However, the technology is not commercially viable in producing compliant fuel.
