Abstract
- The article examines the quantitative contribution of dynamical effects to enzyme catalysis using computer simulations where the focus of the discussion will be on the proposed catalytic mechanisms. Previous computer simulation studies showed that the stabilization of the transition state by electrostatic preorganization of the enzyme active site is the most important catalytic factor.
