A Statistical Thermodynamic Model of the Protein Ensemble.

The article presents the thermodynamic model of the protein ensemble. The first part deals about the energy landscape of proteins, the ergodic hypothesis, the temporal and instantaneous representations, energetics and response of protein ensemble to perturbations. The second part consists of a discussion on the hybrid structural-energetic approach of COREX algorithm including the conformational space sampling, modeling fluctuations, energetics determination and lastly, the use of COREX in protein modeling.
