Abstract
- The article reports that an electrical failure which occurred on May 25, 2006 along Amtrak's network in such U.S. cities as New York, Philadelphia, and Baltimore left tens of thousands of commuters stranded on the tracks. Amtrak officials have not been able to identify the problem which caused the electrical failure. Comments from passengers regarding the situation are provided. INSET: Where Trains Were Stranded.
