Abstract

The article discusses the introduction of an integrated curriculum on General, Organic and Biochemistry course at Georgia Southern University in Statesboro, Georgia. Its integration will fulfill the chemistry requirement for nursing majors, as well as a requirement for the first two chemistry courses for students taking up nutrition majors. The school's curricular reform was designed to de-emphasize some topics and to integrate others to provide necessary fundamentals of chemistry. The introduction of the curriculum has brought positive outcome as indicated in the improved course evaluations.
