The article reports on the launch of the Polymer Ambassador program by the Intersociety Polymer Education Council in the U.S. The objective of the program was to increase student interest and participation in science and technology subjects by incorporating the teaching of polymers and polymeric materials into K-12 curricula. Students under this program could utilize the combined resources and infrastructures of the participating scientific societies including the American Chemical Society and the American Plastics Council.
