Abstract
- The article looks at the design of the Fayetteville Public Library in Arkansas. The library was constructed with cork floors because cork was sustainable, absorbed noise well, and made for a good design. After the installation of the cork flooring, the paste-wax finishing on the floor was found to be very difficult to clean. The library decided on a tongue-oil finish, which helps repel dirt.
