Abstract
- The article features the life and works of botanist Joseph Hooker. Hooker is a critic on the views of natural scientist Charles Darwin about the transmutation of species. During his career, he emphasized the need for any theory of species origin to support taxonomic delimitation of species. He was awarded the Royal Medal by the Earl of Rosse for his contribution in natural science.
