Abstract: This section presents news briefs concerning opticianry in Great Britain as of April 2006. Richard Morris Contact Lens Clinics has been awarded the 2005 British national winner at the Bausch & Lomb European Practice of the Year Awards. The Royal National Institute of the Blind has accused local authorities of seriously risking the health and safety of blind and partially-sighted people by failing to supply vital equipment.
