Abstract

The article focuses on the need to use terahertz radiation for applications in biomedical imaging, homeland security, astronomy and industrial inspection. The researchers at the Saint Andrews University in Scotland are developing terahertz source using several methods demonstrated that a compact, room temperature terahertz source tunable. Terahertz radiation can penetrate deep into organic tissue without the harmful effects of x-ray sources and capable of identifying between organic materials.
