Abstract

Presents the findings of a study measuring and comparing the expression of atrogin-1 and MuRF1 and the activity of Akt and several of its catabolic and anabolic targets in human model of skeletal muscle atrophy. Confirmation of skeletal muscle atrophy; Analysis of the skeletal muscle of patients with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis; Regulation of Akt and Akt/Forkhead signaling pathway.
