Abstract

The article focuses on the cerebral visual impairment known as amblyopia, which has a prevalence of 2-3%, and does not seem to significantly affect the success of children in education, career choice or social interaction. Childhood visual screening is discussed, as well as the more common vision impairment, bilateral amblyopia.
