Abstract: The article comments on major changes in courts' approach to making costs orders in divorce cases in Great Britain in April 2006. Each divorcing spouse will be required to pay their legal costs using their own assets, unless exceptional cases arise. The issues' implications for divorce cases and law are also cited.
