Battery Stack Drives Seven White LEDs.

The article presents a circuit configuration that illuminates a string of seven white light emitting diodes (LED) using stack of batteries. The brightness of these diodes could be slightly adjusted. The circuit is best described in two parts, the boost circuit function and the control circuit. Procedures on how the circuit produces the constant illumination of LED through flyback action is discussed. The importance of using matched batteries in the battery stack as well as the cause of overheat and leakage of milky acid is also discussed.
