Abstract

The article addresses on the transmission of metal films with arrays of subwavelength holes implicating for sensors and enhanced surface spectroscopy. The paper describes the basics of the type of surface plasmons-mediated transmission. It explains how the properties move into the infrared region. It also includes the discussion of the stacks of mesh and the potential for sensors. A figure shows the electron microscopy images of the nickel mesh and the structure of the arrays revealing an open area.
