Abstract

Explores the role of CCR8 in innate immune response during septic peritonitis induced by cecal ligation and puncture (CLP). Expression of CCR8 in peritoneal macrophages during CLP; Resistane of CCR8 mice to CLP-induced lethality; Increased bacterial clearance in CCR8; Augmented innate immune response in CCR8 macrophages; Altered cytokine response and prevention of renal injury in CCR8 mice.
