Abstract

The article focuses on the opening of the greenest commercial building by Szencorp in Victoria. The building has net new standards in efficiency and sustainability with the reduction in energy use compare to conventional office building, piped water use, sewer discharge, recycling of the building structure and self-generated energy. Australian Business Council for Sustainable Energy Ric Brazzale contended that the building is an example of the future for commercial building projects. The key features of the proposed project includes energy and ceramic fuel cell technology for electricity generation and hot water supply, the latest insulation and glazing technologies, natural ventilation and best practice energy-efficient lighting and air-conditioning.
