Abstract

The low-temperature methanol synthesis was studied using novel Cu–Cr–Si catalysts promoted by zirconia at 115 °C and 3.0 MPa in slurry phase. Zirconia addition improved significantly the catalytic performance. From the characteristic results, copper and chromium were enriched on the catalyst surface and more Cu+ cations were stabilized by the zirconia promotion. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
