Abstract
- Describes a study which localized the cloned Arabidopsis thaliana potassium channel AKT3 to the phloem and revealed its unique dependence on voltage which are suited for meeting its supposed role in processes associated with the phloem. How AKT3 is expressed in the phloem; Mechanism of the voltage-dependence of calcium block; How protons reduces the unitary conductance.
