Indaba 2006: Never Better for Africa's Minerals Sector.

The article highlights Mining Indaba 2006, annual convention in the mineral industries in Africa which was held in Cape Town, South Africa. The attendance for this year's convention reached 3,200 delegates. Many people from various sectors in the society attended that said annual gathering, including bankers, lawyers, suppliers, and ministers from different countries in Africa. Moreover, foreign investments to the country increased from 18 billion dollars in 2005 to 20 billion in 2006, implying that a significant amount of this will be in the minerals sector and associated infrastructure. Also, it was sought out that a shift in the focus of mining industry has occurred in Africa.
