Abstract
- The article reports on what Israelis think about the Fatah leader Mahmoud Abbas after the election of Hamas to the leadership of Palestine. Abbas is no longer in power, but, the article argues he never really was, ruling over a non-existent country and unable to control a violent independence movement. Most Israeli politicians argue that Abbas has even less power now that he is no longer in office.
