Heavy Calcium Carbonate Superfine Powder Project Launched in Jiangxi.

The article reports that the 500 000 t/a heavy calcium carbonate superfine powder project in Imerys Mining Co. Ltd. has been launched in Zhongshan county of Hezhou, Guangxi province in China. Imerys SA of France will funding the project. Imerys will invest US$20 million which includes a 500 000 t/a heavy calcium carbonate superfine powder plant and a 500 000 t/a marble mechanized mine. The project will be completed at the end of 2006. The product can be extensively used in papermaking, plastic, coatings and rubber sectors.
