Abstract
- The article focuses on the genetic mapping of activating transcription factor 3 (ATCF3), regulator of G-protein signaling 18 (RGS18) and uridine kinase 2 (UCK2) from human chromosome 1 to porcine chromosomes. Matching expressed sequence tags from pigs are determined through the human mRNA sequence from UCK2, ATCF3 and RGS18. Introns position and size is determined by human genome sequence. ATF3 is placed on SSC9, UCK2 is placed on SSC4 while RGS18 is localized on chromosome 10.
