Abstract

The article discusses the low-birth-weight (LBW) cases in infants associated with hepablastoma in the U.S. Hepablastoma (HB) is the most common liver malignancy in children. A study reveals that the increasing incidence of HB in children corresponds to the increased survival of LBW infants. Further study theorize that neonatal oxygen supplementation is associated with overall childhood cancer risk. Consequently, the Children's Oncology Group has conducted a follow-up research on the relationship between LBW and HB in children.
